Terms of Use — Dedupe for Salesforce

Version 1.1 — July 16, 2026
Courtesy translation: the French version prevails in the event of inconsistency.

1. Purpose, acceptance and professional use only

These Terms govern access to and use of the Dedupe for Salesforce Chrome extension (the “Software”), published by Mon CRM Manager, France (the “Publisher”). The Software is intended exclusively for professionals acting for business purposes. By installing, activating, ordering or using it, the user confirms that they have authority to bind the relevant organisation and accept these Terms.

2. Description and functional limits

The Software identifies potential duplicate Salesforce records, including Accounts, Contacts and Leads, and allows the user to request their merger through Salesforce interfaces and APIs under the user’s own identity and permissions.

The Software is only a technical detection and execution aid. It is not a backup, restoration, archive, audit, compliance, data-governance or business-validation service. The Publisher does not know the business context, value, accuracy or sensitivity of the data.

3. Licence, restrictions and suspension

For the subscribed plan and period, the Publisher grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence for internal professional use. Decompiling, materially copying, reselling, renting, sharing with third parties, bypassing technical or licence restrictions, building a competing service from the Software or intentionally probing for vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation is prohibited.

Access may be suspended without compensation in the event of breach, abuse, fraud, security risk, non-payment or material legal risk.

4. Data merging — express acceptance of a destructive operation

ESSENTIAL WARNING. A merge may permanently delete or overwrite records and values. It may affect relationships, history, owners, activities, automations, integrations, reports and downstream processing. Complete restoration may be impossible, incomplete, time-consuming or expensive.

Previews, confirmations, JSON files and reports are aids only. They do not replace a complete, independent and tested Salesforce backup. By confirming a merge, the user personally instructs Salesforce to execute it and assumes responsibility for scope, master-record selection, survivor values and all business, technical, regulatory and financial consequences.

5. Mandatory prerequisites before production use

Before using the Software in production, the user must:

No restorable backup. The user must not operate the Software in production without suitable backup and restoration arrangements.

6. Exclusive responsibility of the user and organisation

The user is solely responsible for data quality, legality, accuracy, completeness, backup, retention and restoration; Salesforce configuration and permissions; business rules, automations, integrations, packages and API limits; merge and retention rules; GDPR and other applicable obligations; and all use by employees, contractors, administrators or anyone using the organisation’s credentials.

The user warrants that all rights, legal bases, permissions and instructions required to access, compare, modify, merge or delete the data are in place.

7. Probabilistic duplicate detection and no automated decision

Matching uses normalisation rules, comparisons and similarity scores. It can produce false positives, false negatives, incomplete groups and different results depending on data quality. Scores, badges and suggestions are indicators only and never certify that records represent the same entity. Appropriate human review is required before every merge.

8. No warranty and no guaranteed outcome

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “as is”, “as available” and at the user’s risk. The Publisher does not guarantee detection of every duplicate, absence of false positives, preservation of all data or relationships, compatibility with every Salesforce or Chrome configuration, uninterrupted or error-free operation, suitability for a particular purpose or the ability to restore altered or deleted data.

No service level, fix deadline, support level, corrective maintenance, business continuity or permanent availability of a feature is guaranteed unless agreed separately in writing.

9. Third-party services, changes and downtime

The Software depends on Chrome, Salesforce, their APIs, security rules, quotas and versions and, where relevant, Lemon Squeezy. The Publisher does not control these services and is not responsible for their downtime, restrictions, changes, errors, access refusal, incompatibility or suspension decisions. The Publisher may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Software for technical, economic, regulatory or security reasons.

10. Limitation and exclusion of liability

CONTRACTUAL ALLOCATION OF RISK. The price reflects these limits. The Publisher has no access to the user’s business context or control over the Salesforce environment, while the user controls testing, backups, approvals and verification.

To the fullest extent permitted by law and subject to mandatory exceptions:

Total aggregate liability, across all claims and causes, is capped at the amount excluding tax actually received for the Software during the three months preceding the event, up to €500 for a paid plan, and €50 for a free plan. This is one aggregate cap, not a cap per incident or record.

These limitations do not apply to fraud or gross negligence by the Publisher, personal injury attributable to the Publisher, or where mandatory law prohibits limitation.

11. Duty to prevent and mitigate loss

At the first anomaly, the user must stop operations, restrict access where needed, preserve logs and backups, document the incident and take reasonable steps to prevent further loss. The Publisher does not bear the part of loss caused by continuing after discovery, delayed reporting, absence of a usable backup or failure to mitigate.

12. User indemnity

The user will indemnify the Publisher against reasonable claims, proceedings, sanctions, loss, costs and defence expenses resulting from use contrary to these Terms or law, lack of authority or legal basis, a merge or data change decided by the user, or a third-party claim relating to the user’s data or processing choices. This indemnity does not cover damage directly caused by fraud or gross negligence of the Publisher.

13. Claims and limitation period

Any anomaly or claim must be reported without undue delay and no later than 30 days after discovery, together with the context, date, version, logs, screenshots, non-sensitive technical identifiers and mitigation already taken. To the extent permitted by law, contractual proceedings must be started within one year after the claimant knew or should have known the relevant facts.

14. Independence from Salesforce

The Software is independent. Salesforce, Sales Cloud and related marks belong to Salesforce, Inc. The Software is not published, approved, certified or endorsed by Salesforce, Inc. Users remain responsible for their own Salesforce contracts and obligations.

15. Personal data

Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. The user remains the controller of Salesforce data they choose to access, compare, merge or delete and must ensure their use complies with legal, contractual and internal obligations.

16. Changes to the Software and Terms

The Publisher may change features, limits, plans and prices. These Terms may be updated for legal, technical, security or product reasons. The version published on the date of use applies, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

17. Severability, non-waiver and entire agreement

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver. These Terms and the subscribed plan form the entire agreement concerning the Software unless a separate written contract has been signed.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

French law governs these Terms. Before proceedings, the parties will attempt an amicable solution for 30 days following detailed written notice. Failing settlement, disputes fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the materially competent courts for the Publisher’s registered office, subject to mandatory rules.
